The 35mm camera unit can be fitted with a 16mm conversion kit to allow for different formats and can be rotated to allow both cine or comic orientation.

Other features include a simple film loading path and adjustable inter-frame gap. The manual focus, aperture variable,70 mm lens produces resolution that exceeds international Microfilming standards.

 

 

 
Icam’s through the lens document alignment system , allows the operator to see the document as the camera sees it. The video camera looks through the lens at the document, constantly showing it’s position and size. The ability of the Guardian motorized camera arm to move forward and back allows the camera head to be positioned over the document in preference to moving the fragile document to gain alignment. The video output is displayed on a black and white monitor positioned at the rear of the camera in the operator's eye line.
