have produced 3 options for our bookhandling systems. |

The
first is the lateral shuttle which allows the operator to easily
move a volume from side to side either for the alignment of documents
or to enable single page filming of large and heavy volumes. |

The
second option combines the lateral shuttle with an additional forward
to rear moving platen. This provides easy and stress free loading
of heavy volumes. Large books can now be brought from the repository
on the BOOKRISE cradle and loaded on to this shuttle and positioned
in the camera with no back strain for the operator. An additional
benefit of this unit is that it facilitates the digital capture
of volumes that will not open further than 90 degrees. |

Lastly the AIR SHUTTLE integrates with the existing pneumatic book cradle and gives foot operated lateral shuttle movement. There is also the option to link this to the exposure of the camera for increased production. |
