The Icam book handling systems are in use in libraries and archives throughout the world. The systems are pneumatically controlled. With the operator able to simply adjust the pressure on the cradle to take even the most fragile documents. It is a fail safe system that ensures that books do not get trapped in the equipment due to electronic faults. Foot pedal operation allows either the bottom platen to fall independently or in conjunction with the top glass rising. For easy page turning, flat documents can be filmed on various sizes of available document boards. For loading of heavy volumes there is a manual bypass that holds the platens open for easy access. Book cradles are available in many sizes and the book handling system can also be configured to customer requirements.
