ARCHANGEL SOFTWARE

Overview

ARCHANGEL software is a unique way for Archives to distribute their digital images

With ARCHANGEL you can:-
Easily create a collection of images from multiple sources.
Add a description of these images or import the description from any text source.
Customise the appearance of the package.
Create a searchable self running CD with optional print facilities.

ARCHANGEL was designed with input from various archives .
The idea is to allow an organization to make a collection of images eg all of the pages of a book or all photographs of specific subject or area, even large format maps ( in combination with ARCTOGRAPHER software ).
This collection can then be described in detail. For example the description could be a translation of the page displayed or historical detail related to it.

When the package has been finished it can then be “published” on to a self running CD or DVD. That can be used to generate revenue, by sale to the public.
The CD that is created allows the recipient to run the CD without the need for any other software (except any form of windows). They can then view the images in full resolution using all of the advanced viewing tools built in.

You have the choice to allow printing or not.

The images load directly from the CD and so do not place any information on the host computer.

There are at present 3 thumbnail view types.
